Have a ever considered the relationship between composting, human burials and even Sustainability?
I have not before I saw this TED video today. It is a topic that not many people actually feel comfortable to talk about. But it is worth talking about in my view. Especially if you are Sustainability-minded person and have been through losing a loved one.
Here Katrina Spade “discusses “recomposition” — a system that uses the natural decomposition process to turn our deceased into life-giving soil, honoring both the earth and the departed.” (Source:TED)
Overpopulation and consumption are such a hot topic at the moment. This relatively new TED talk has exactly that theme. I also really liked the Q&A which followed the talk.
From the talk description:
Have we used up all our resources? Have we filled up all the livable space on Earth? Paul Gilding suggests we have, and the possibility of devastating consequences, in a talk that’s equal parts terrifying and, oddly, hopeful.
A very short post today with an excellent video on the topic of Climate Change. This should be required viewing in my opinion for anyone living on this planet still not believing that Climate Change is happening. But I am not sure about the hat I must say…….
