they arte many things that would help. they all take cash. and its mosty only works for you. to make a big deal you need big money. say we need to do it may be right, but its like saying i need a new car. some one has to get the cash.

Why bother with the expensive tech, when simply redusing consumption as much as possible? It is far more effective and saves you loads of money for other things such as food.

If a things worth doing its worth doing well - include green / sustainable into how you define well and you're getting there. There's no need / point in spending buckets of cash just to be green or sustainable ...

Agreed, honest clean energy installers would tell you that it is better to reduce your energy use first THEN think about a solar power system to generate your energy, its cheaper and more effective this way.

For example, changing your lights to CFLs and new insulation before installing a solar power system can dramatically reduce your energy consumption therefore reducing the upfront cost of going solar.

There are creative financing products emerging which help people who want to go solar finance a system and make the after tax monthly payment lower than what they are paying for their current energy bills.
