Default Environmental & Sustainability Videos on Public TV

Hi Guys, sorry if this is deemed spam but have you heard about our new site (I consider it shameless self promotion rather than spam because it's at least relevant spam and not in anyway inappropriate)?

We have over 400 online video clips about environment and science issues on our environment and science channel. Most of the videos are quality productions from governments, business and pressure groups and you can rest assured that we will not publish any inappropriate content.

Environment and Science - Public TV

I hope you can find something here useful.

Please have a good day

Hi.

It is being considered spam if you post something totally not on the subject.

Currently this is on subject. I am considering to move it to the main discussion forum.

Okay Public TV?

Just be careful watching these video clips I found out recently that they Use a lot of electricity to download. For example if the clip is from the UK and I want to watch it here in the USA it may have to go through several servers just to get to me. you have to add all the electricity it takes to get it from one server to the next till it reaches you. This adds up really fast I can't give an exact amount all I know is its unsustainable in the use of dirty fuels to generate that electricity. Which is above and beyond the most demanding Plasma Big Screen HDTV that people are complaining about us Americans using.

Someone needs to come up with a super compressor so as to make video small as possible so it spends as little time being downloaded as possible.

Hi Corey, you are indeed correct.

If I pledge to change my car to a hybrid (I wish didn't need a car but i do), would that help offset the environmental damage we are doing? I'm hoping that by watching some of these videos users may get inspiration and ideas on how they too can help the enviromental effort.

I'm very open to your suggestions on how I can surf the line between a good quality of life and not destroying the planet.

Have a good day
