The Banksia Environmental Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1989 by a diverse group of 44 Australians who shared a common goal to do more to support and recognise members of the community for their positive contribution to the environment.
Each year the Foundation runs an Environmental Awards program.
Now it is your opportunity to have your say on which initiative you think is the most deserving winner. Take a look at the exciting achievements that are being produced around us and make your mark by voting for your favourite entry.
Ask yourself three questions when selecting your winner:-
Which entry will have the greatest impact on providing Australia’s future generations with the wonderful natural environment that I have been able to enjoy?
Which entry deals with what I feel is the most burning issue the environment faces today?
Which entry gives me the most hope for a sustainable future for Australia?
The 9 contenders for the Banksia People’s Choice Award have been selected from the finalists of the 10 Banksia Award Categories. The recipient of the Banksia People’s Choice Award will be announced at the Banksia Environmental Awards Presentation on the 20th July, 2007.
