Default Projects to be proud of? BURA Regeneration Awards open for entries

BURA AWARDS
FOR BEST PRACTICE IN REGENERATION 2007

Open for entries

Do you know a project that represents best practice in regeneration?

The BURA Awards embrace diversity, recognising projects across the UK on a variety of scales and celebrating the enormous range of people and organisations involved in regeneration. Our independent awards, established in 1992, help to define excellence in regeneration.

Anyone from any sector can submit an entry.

What makes the BURA Awards distinctive?

Here’s what some of our 2006 recipients had to say:

- “Particularly the absence of commercial sponsorship of the awards”

- “Projects are judged on merit and merit alone – not down to geographical distribution for political correctness”

- “Recognition of good practice in regeneration and the bringing together of industry leaders”

The BURA Awards are unique in their support from Government agencies across all four countries in the UK. We would like to thank English Partnerships, Scottish Enterprise, the Welsh Assembly Government and the Department for Social Development – Northern Ireland for their continued support of the awards into 2007.

Where can I find out more?

To see the assessment criteria, entry guidance notes and to submit an entry please visit http://firsthand.bura.org.uk/. You have until 29 June 2007 to submit your entries online.

Can you help us to spread the word?

To identify and celebrate the best of regeneration across the UK we need people to be aware of the awards and to enter projects and schemes. Can you help us to publicise the awards both within your organisation and externally? This might include for example:
  • Emailing the entry form to your colleagues, clients and networks (download by clicking here)
  • Making reference to the awards within your newsletter or website
  • Including the awards as an agenda item at your team meeting
  • Requesting hard-copy entry forms to place on your reception or to distribute at relevant forthcoming events (contact kate@bura.org.uk or 020 7539 4030).

Entries must be received by 29 June 2007

Should you require any further information please do get in touch with the BURA Awards Team. I can be contacted on 020 7539 4030 or by emailing kate@bura.org.uk. Otherwise please note the closing date in your diary and we look forward to receiving your entries.
