How the mesage about emmisions spreads

Here in Sydney Australia , businessess and private consumers agred to switch off electricity for an hour between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Saturday 31st March.
Many suburbs plus the inner City switched off.
Result we could actually see the stars and the the power distributors noted a 105 drop in useage.

I would like to think that this is just the beggining of a regular pattern to be taken up by many other communities.

This was a fairly "low key" message but the word spread via radio programes and TV news announcers.

We have to start somewhere and this allows people the opportunity to show they CARE
