Default Questions regarding bug sprays and pesticides

Does anyone know of the company called terminix inc.?

Reason I am asking, is that The apartment building that I live in was spraying a bug spray to prevent and kill roaches. The terminix guy verbally said the spray was safe for animals and humans but I refuse to take their word for it.

I flat out refuse to let them spray at this moment due to the research from watch dog groups regarding bug sprays and pesticides in general.

"there is no such thing as a safe spray" Is the mantra I get from all of the watch dog groups and consumer advocates I have come across.

"Never take the companies word for whether a product is safe or not" is another one I read about.

I live in the State Of Minnesota, USA.

I have no objections with traps for the pesticide only gets moved around only if their are actual bugs to track it around .

I was wondering if anyone knows If I have a legal right to refuse their spraying and whether using traps is an legally acceptable alternative by state health department and laws?

So far I have not been able to get a straight answer from any state employees regarding if traps are acceptable alternative for the landlord to use that will allow them to meet the state law requirements regarding pest removal for health department laws and rules.
