It has been said that biofuel isn't as good as it seems to be. Apparently using corn and beans, etc. to produce biofuel causes an increase in the price of food. According to this, the heaviest burden will fall on the poor. In the main, this problem of biofuel production generates social problems and unrest like the strikes in Mexico and Brazil.
