I don't think it's necessarily the case that Agenda 21 has fallen by the wayside, but rather that the principles therein became engrained in government policy (with limited success) and therefore the need to reference actions as part of Agenda 21 faded away.
That said, the elements of Agenda 21 that most of us I guess would now consider to be common sense, are still very much ignored by some of those with the power to implement change. Let's hope that by kicking off a discussion in our little forum we can start a ripple to encourage those in power (be that in government or business) to revisit Agenda 21 and heed the messages it contains.
I won't hold my breath though!
