Hello everyone,

I would love to hear from you what you think of the categories I have chosen so far.

I have included categories like:
  • sustainability news
  • CSR news
  • jobs in the Sustainability/CSR field and
  • events/conferences so far
But I am interested in what you would want to see as categories. I am more then happy to add them if the demand is there.

You can either post in the suggestions for forum here or email me at fabian@sustainabilityforum.com

Default Improvements

Greetings,

When I signed up today the referral field would not take my information, I had to retry 3 times to sign up, that's a killer. You need to modify the parameters of that field or do away with it. What I entered was Google GreenYes Group.

Check out www.greenbusiness.net, a growing forum in the USA.

You need categories for sustainable business opportunities. Everyone else can talk about sustainability, but it appears to me that only business will be able to create a sustainable future through investment in environmentally neutral or positive technologies.

Government will not save they day, but they can eventually help.

Create some business cartegories. Also, agriculture is essential. I would rather sit around and eat than drive and starve?

Keep up the good work, let me know if you want help with SEO.

Cheers,

Ron Castle

Welcome to the forum Ron.

"Everyone else can talk about sustainability, but it appears to me that only business will be able to create a sustainable future through investment in environmentally neutral or positive technologies"

Unfortunately, whilst many will agree with the premise that you have suggested above, I'm afraid that I am not one of them.

These philanthropic businesses you speak of, are these not often the same businesses that got us in this position in the first place? Yes, business would love an opportunity page on this site to give them greater opportunities to make money. However, the pursuit of a growing GDP has been discredited by a significant number of commentators as unsustainable. It is actually the 'talk' from the rest of us that will shape business and ensure that it takes sustainability in to account.

I for one would like to believe that businesses are here to satisfy my needs and not visa versa. However, a page for sustainable 'not for profit' bussinesses would seem to be in keeping with the ethos of this site.

Regards,

Neil.

Hi Ron, Welcome to the forum,

The explanation is that you need to input a member of this community as a referer. A google group or website does not work unfortunately.

Thanks I will look into that. What are the other members of the forum think about that suggestion?

Could you give me an example?

Thank you for all the useful suggestions Ron!

Default Network of forums

This forum is going really well, but it is only one of many.

Is there a way to create a network of such forums, thereby taking advantage of the varying perspectives offered by each?

Matthew

Default Overpopulation section

There should be a section on overpopulation. When we think of sustainability, the biggest part of it is how many people, then the lifestyles of those people.
As a starter article I suggest http:www.newswithviews.com/Wooldridge/frosty239.htm

Waht do the others think? Where should the overpopulation discussion go into? Sustainabile development?

Hi bowman.

Where do you want to have this title? A new title of the overpopulation forum?

Or a completely new forum?
