MSc graduate looking for CSR job

To Whom it may concern,

I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford and I am looking for a CSR or SRI job, commencing from 1st September 2008, ideally located in London.

I am graduating with a Masters of Science in Water Science, Policy and Management. The course has a holistic approach to water resource management, and my particular area of interest is the ability of the business and investment community to affect positive change. I have taken classes in corporate social responsibility and accountability with a leading professor in the field of geographical finance.

I have a First Class BSc (Hons) in environmental science from the University of Nottingham which gave me a broad basis for understanding environmental systems, with particular focus on pollution management and remediation. The course gave me a strong foundation in the scientific reasoning behind environmental issues and the lectures were supported by field trips and laboratory work.

My academic background is complemented by relevant work experience in corporate environmental management. I have worked in the environmental department of Novo Nordisk A/S, a global specialist in diabetes treatment. While at Novo Nordisk A/S, I completed three benchmarking projects and I was introduced to the tools used by Novo Nordisk A/S environmental department. The experience was very valuable as it stimulated my interest in the corporate perspective on resource management and gave me an insight into environmental management steering systems.

On a personal level, I am Danish, but have lived in Japan, Finland, Belgium, England and Denmark. I have an international outlook and thrive in multi-cultural environments. I enjoy roles of responsibility, and I have been very involved in various university societies. I am particularly proud of having set up the ENVI Society, a society for environmental science and environmental biology students at the University of Nottingham. The society is still running successfully today, and the experience taught me about teamwork, effective communication and time management.

I have well-developed analytical, research, and communications skills and I have demonstrated the commitment, focus and drive necessary to carry out demanding tasks in various settings. I am confident that I will be a positive addition to any team.
