Hello members,

I think it would really be time now to meet to discuss with some where this forum in your opinion should go and what we can do to improve it.

I would propose to meet in London in the near future for the first meetinf as it seems a lot of members are from there. What about in 2-3 weeks or so? A pub and a beer (or water of course) is a good combination I think!

I will send out an PM over the forum to everyone over the next couple of days to test how many people would be interested. I will keep you updated.

Any suggestions for a place to meet?

Fabian

just a thought: we should be thinking green. Long distance travel other than foot power or dedicated mass transit should be kept to minimum. I guess that is the beauty of the Internet. Hmm wonder how much juice I am USING just to post its (my computer)+(each server between here and this post server)+any (wireless connections Router boxes and such)+(satellites if any involved)+(Land wires electrical current loss then boosted again) = ouch too much co2+equivalent.

Other than that go for it! sorry can't attend live in the central USA.

racking my head with all this total cost concept looking for stuff I missed in my choice of actions!

(there is a saying "not truly green unless you go all the way" meaning that need to simplify)

LOL think I am being a hypocrite with my using the Internet connection and all.

Well, you could always send us smoke signals, unless you're too concerned about CO2 emissions of burning wood.

And yes, of course I'd be up for a meeting!!!

Default Meeting in London?

I wanted to ask if anyone in the London area would be interested in meeting up for a beer or coke respectively.

This is a thread from a long time ago but now that so many new members have joined since then I felt it is the time to meet up if possible.

I am living in London so I would love to hear from anyone living in or near to London whether there is interest in meeting up.

I would love to get some feedback from our members to where I intend to steer the forum as well as what your ideas are.

Once we have met I will then post the discussion topics and opinions in the "Lazy Cafe" and get as much as possible feedback from the other non London based members.

I will sort out a venue if there is the interest in meeting up.

So what does everyone think?

Fabian

To make if fair for everyone it should be somewhere in the middle of London.

But not a pub as they are too noisy and play loud music.

Depending on numbers there are a few good venues which will not break the bank.

So everyone willing to come please raise their voices.

Fabian, when do you think you want to do this? In May or June?

Sounds good to me with the venue.

For me the 2 & 3 week of May sound great.

What do the others think?
