One of the worlds leading suppliers of cements and aggregates is looking for an exceptional, senior candidate to analyse and mitigate CO2 costs as far as possible in relation to all aspects of their business.

Situated in the Environmental Strategy department it will be your responsibility to reduce the incurred cost of compliance and of emissions and integrate CO2 into all operations systems.

Key responsibilities will be:

- Formulate compliance cost reduction strategies in relation to EU CO2 regulatory obligation
- Working with Corporate Functions to develop systems to integrate CO2 into financial and business systems
- Develop and operate structures for the CO2 emission trading rights for the company
- Develop an excellent knowledge of the CO2 market and maintain solid relations
- Update the Group and its companies on market evolutions
- Lead internal communications, training and learning on CO2 related business systems

With the ability to understand the business’ immediate needs together with the implications that CO2 will have on the wider business you will be tasked with researching all aspects of procurement, carrying out due diligence and investment analysis with the view to designing a five year financial plan alongside the yearly budget plans.

Main capabilities:

- University degree
- Senior experience in business administration, finance and financial services
- Ability to communicate with operating entities and corporate functions
- knowledge of the emissions trading market
- Excellent written and verbal English
- German, French or Spanish as asset but not essential
