An amazing opportunity to create and shape the environmental research unit of a pioneering not-for-profit company with a prestigious profile, and to build and coach your own team.


The job…
• Leading all aspects of research project within the unit and ensuring agreed standards, timescales and budgets are reached.
• Building an effective team and managing career development alongside project responsibilities.
• Shaping the agenda for the unit and developing the knowledge base of the unit.
• Leading the development of the unit’s research methodology, writing reports, articles, analysis, proposals and recommendations as required.
• Participation in research that may be out of the unit’s knowledge.
• Development and maintenance of relationships with charities, clients, government and other relevant sector individuals and organisations.
• Acting as a knowledge source and spokesperson for the unit in terms of an external profile.
• Fundraising for the unit and the wider organisation.


You…
• Possess at least 5 years experience in a research related role.
• Have outstanding analytical skills and a strong interest in social policy, organisations and research.
• Display strong people management skills, attention to detail and the ability to work to a deadline.
• Have good interpersonal skills and strong communicative skills – both verbal and written.
• Have the ability to work well within a team or independently.
• Have as confident, positive attitude and are proactive.
• Show flexibility, energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
• Have good IT skills.
