Default Senior Bioenergy Consultant: ŁNeg

An opportunity to join a recently established Bioenergy division in a leading company in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change.

Our client requires a Senior Consultant to join their new Bioenergy team; executing studies and realising installations in the field of Bioenergy. Focus areas include biomass combustion and co-firing, biofuels, including second-generation technology developments, anaerobic digestion, CHP, and biomass supply chain sustainability.

The job…
• Provide consultancy services to industry, governments and NGO’s.
• Performing resource assessments, conceptual development, technology selection, feasibility studies, project development support and guiding planning permission applications.
• Generating sales leads via knowledge of the market and existing contact network.
• Writing proposals to secure new consulting contracts.
• Supporting non-Bioenergy colleagues on policy, strategy and technical work related to biomass/Bioenergy.

You…
• Have a degree in business, science, engineering or equivalent subject.
• Have a minimum of 5 years professional experience in Bioenergy related work.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the national renewable energy and climate change policy and legislation.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the legislative requirements and planning permission procedures for building new Bioenergy facilities.
• Actively work on developing and maintaining relationships.
• Enjoy interacting with others and prefer to do this via telephone rather than email.
• Have experience conducting feasibility studies and/or preparing applications to finance projects/businesses.
• Are equipped with good knowledge of the various companies and other organisations involved in the energy industry.
• Possess a well-established contact network.
• Ideally have a professional background in an energy or waste sector, and experience with planning procedures.
