Norfolk County Council
Climate Change Partnership Co-ordinator
County Hall, Norwich
£29,646 to £32,898 per annum
Full time/job share

As a low-lying county with a soft coastline and a growing population, Norfolk is particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. The potential impacts of climate change could have serious consequences for Norfolk’s population, its economy, wildlife and landscapes while offering a number of economic opportunities for the county, in sectors such as renewable energy, green technology, agriculture, local food and recreation.
The Climate Change Partnership Co-ordinator will be a key role in taking forward Norfolk’s Climate Change Strategy and delivering on its associated LAA targets, embedding sustainability principles across the Council’s business and demonstrating community leadership in this area. You will be responsible for establishing and managing Norfolk’s Climate Change Partnership as well as identifying and securing resources. The post will be responsible to the Norfolk County Strategy Partnership and will co-ordinate work across a wide range of organisations, including councils, wider public sector, business and voluntary/community groups. You will have a high profile with senior managers within and external to the Council.
