Nottingham
A vacancy exists for a leading UK provider of infrastructure services. The business which specialises in the design and delivery of complex engineering projects, provides specialist and innovative tunnelling, utilities, civil engineering and mechanical and electrical services to the water, transport and energy sectors.
Focus is to provide advice and support to the Utilities Services Business Units, as well as other Business Units where requested.
Responsibilities:
• Assist development, implement and maintain the Environmental Management System at all sites
• Ensure compliance with the environmental elements of the CMS at site level
• Provides technical support and advice to Project Managers and other management staff
• Provision of training and guidance, both delivery and materials. Undertakes training of staff, operatives and
sub contractors to ensure project procedures and controls are being adopted throughout the project and to maintain legal compliance
• Undertakes environmental monitoring, audit and compliance reviews to ascertain compliance with the Environmental Management System / CSR Policy and Strategy, including 2nd and 3rd party audits
• Liaises with Stakeholders, third parties and statutory authorities (such as Environment Agency and Local Authorities)
• Manage Environmental consent application and implementation for the contracts.
• Management of waste transfer documentation and co-ordination of waste management data
• Co-ordinating CSR project suggestion scheme for the projects
• Reports on environmental performance to project, business unit and corporate levels
• Monitoring and inspection of on-site performance
• Maintains appropriate records
• Environmental incident response, incident management and incident investigation
• Promotes environmental best practice throughout the Company

Key Skills
You should be technically sound in all areas of environmental policy across the public and private sector. You would be expected to provide technical and pragmatic support and advice on environmental issues to particular sites/projects/divisions to ensure effective implementation and delivery of the Company environmental management systems and CSR/Environmental policies.
