Description Director, Community Outreach (CSR)

The successful candidate will develop and lead a broad range of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to translate Juniper’s CSR mission into the Company’s four philanthropic areas of focus. Responsibilities include working with the Juniper Foundation Committee to integrate CSR initiatives into the strategic direction of the Foundation, in addition to the volunteer, corporate giving and matching gifts programs to drive global consistency and alignment for maximum social impact. Specifically, this individual will be expected to:

• Develop and execute a global strategy and plan that connects and leverages each element of the community outreach program under the CSR umbrella to focus and deepen Juniper’s giving impact.
• Lead the development and execution of an awareness program to inform, engage and align employees around our CSR initiatives that support the community outreach program.
• In partnership with the community relations team, design, develop and execute a global volunteer program that harnesses the passion of 6,500 global employees to drive greater social change.

The candidate must have a solid understanding of CSR from the community giving perspective and a proven track record leading global philanthropy programs. The candidate must understand the rapidly evolving CSR environment and how the landscape affects and aligns to the business objectives. Candidate should be an innovative social thinker with experience in building strategic partnerships to deepen and strengthen impact in the global community.

Requirements Core Competencies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to create persuasive and clear written communications.
• Proven ability to successfully conceptualize, plan and execute ideas while managing multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to the Foundation’s core values, mission and programs.
• Ability to lead in a global, cross-functional capacity.
Ideal candidates will have 10-15 years of relevant corporate philanthropic, Foundation and volunteer experience, as well as experience in the corporate social responsibility arena that displays sound judgment, good instincts and consistent results. Candidate will manage multiple long-term and short-term projects simultaneously, and possess strong organizational, follow-up, communications and leadership skills. Candidate must be a proven team player, with an ability to lead by influence and build consensus across internal organizations. Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are a must. BA required.
