You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as being highly organised, diligent and professional. Whilst PeopleProfitPlanet has very strong social aims, it is run as a highly efficient business.

This varied role will require the successful applicant to run a number of projects simultaneously and manage their own workload pragmatically without close direction.

You will have demonstrated proficiency in these skills through relevant work experience, student society involvement, extra curricular activities and voluntary work. Degree success is important but if you can show excellence in other areas this is not as essential.

Job Role:
The job role will include working in the following 3 main areas, split relatively equally:

Administration
o Client Handling
o Workshop write up
o Supplier liaison

Research and report writing to include;
o General environmental e.g. up to date developments on topical environmental news
o For workshop participants e.g. how they can be more environmentally active at home
o Business Environmental e.g. how companies are adapting to the increased demand for sustainability
o Competition and Market Position e.g. competitor intelligence and monitoring

Online marketing and Web 2.0
o Website management
o Blogging
o E-Newsletter writing
o Forum moderation

You will also be involved with
o Event Management & PR
o Business Development & Sales

This role would also give the successful candidate an opportunity to be involved in an exciting award winning new business that is expanding exponentially. As a key member of the team, you will be invited to sit in on board meetings and will be an integral part of the company ensuring the successful running of the business. Therefore in addition to the direct roles you will get experience in and be exposed to running of a business at close hand.

Training
The successful candidate will be provided with on-site training at an average of 2 hours per week, minimum. You will be supported in your ongoing training with regular reviews and one to one coaching. By being at the heart of the business you will gain valuable on the job training.

Package
Salary: £12,000 - £15,000. Negotiable and dependent on previous experience with future opportunity to benefit from performance related bonuses.

You will be mainly based at our central Leeds office, with occasional requirement for travel.

Holidays: 20 days plus statutory holidays i.e. bank holidays.

Hours will be 35 hours per week, with opportunity for overtime. We would look for you to be with the company for a minimum of one year, with a 3 month probation period.

After one year, depending on performance, there is potential for considerable growth in salary and responsibility.

Candidate will ideally be available to start mid October 2008.
