The job
Assisting the company in developing the services offered to clients in the rapidly expanding energy field.
Developing and growing a portfolio of energy-related work in areas such as:
Energy minimisation advise to property managers
Energy surveys and audits
Renewable energy feasibility studies
Carbon footprinting
Energy Performance Certificates and Display Energy Certificates
Energy supply procurement
A successful candidate would be required to take on an existing workload of projects and to develop new work through business development activities with internal and external clients, in both the private and public sectors.
The initial workload will include proposal writing, project work, client liaising and reporting. As the team grows then other work will begin to be shared proportionately.
You
Are degree educated in the Energy, Environmental, Engineering or equivalent area.
Ideally possess relevant further qualifications in the area.
Have a track record growing an energy related business.
Have broad skills in the energy field, incorporating the areas mentioned above.
Are self-motivated, enthusiastic and a clear communicator.
Are comfortable liaising closely with team members and other departments.
Have experience leading small teams and possess leadership and management abilities, delegating effectively while supporting members of the team.
Have strong organisational skills, enabling you to meet deadlines and manage a challenging and diverse workload.
Possess project management skills including the ability to monitor expenditure and achieve profit targets.
Have business development skills, such as the ability to develop and manage client relationships, create winning bids and undertake marketing activities.
Have a keen interest in sustainability and low carbon issues.
