A Bright Green call for qualified Level 3 domestic energy assessors
Domestic energy assessors (DEA) test the energy efficiency of buildings and make suggestions on how it may be improved. The job role exists due to the need for homeowners to provide an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) whenever homes are built or put on the market in England and Wales. The EPC is a compulsory part of the Home Information Pack (HIP).

• Inspect properties to collect information on their age, number of storeys, building type, heating and hot water systems
• Take note of the number and size of corridors, windows and fireplaces
• Enter the information into a computer software programme, which will produce an energy efficiency rating and an EPC
• Explain efficiency ratings to homeowners
• Give practical advice on how to improve the energy efficiency of their home
You…
• Have a Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment (Dip DEA).
• Have completed at least 5 assessed Energy Performance Certificates
• Are willing to travel throughout the UK
• Have a clean UK driving licence
