The job…
• Providing advisory and assurance related services to clients on a range of sustainability issues, in the areas of corporate governance, environmental and health and safety management, social responsibility, strategy and economics. You will help develop strategies for dealing with sustainability issues effectively; demonstrate robust performance internally and externally; and to ensure clients comply with legislation, market good practice and industry standards.
• Providing guidance to clients in dealing with sustainability consultation, reporting and assurance- giving support with consulting and communicating with their key stakeholder groups, in order to minimise risks and maintain effective relationships.
• Contributing proactively and effectively to projects and developing the company’s sustainability and assurance service offerings- providing innovative ideas, managing client relationships, undertaking research, analysis, report-drafting and conducting site visits.
• Managing projects in accordance with the requirements of the company’s project management system.
• Identifying and following up business opportunities with existing and new clients in liaison with Partners, managing and contributing to proposals, and undertaking face to face meetings with clients.
• Managing and supervising activities and providing coaching and guidance to more junior members of the team.
You…
• May come from a risk, strategy, financial auditing or sustainability reporting background.
• Have solid experience in advising on sustainability issues, ideally within a consultancy setting
• Have experience of assurance of sustainability performance against current market standards
• Have a proven and impressive sales track record
• Have experience of managing complex projects successfully
• Are great at coaching and developing staff
• Are open to regular travel to other UK offices and overseas
• Have an excellent understanding of business processes e.g. strategy, reporting, assurance
• Have a good knowledge of key legislation and standards
• Possess excellent relationship building skills, with strong influencing and collaborative working skills
• Are an entrepreneurial thinker with the ability to identify opportunities to extend your own practice
• Have excellent communication skills – including oral, written and presentation skills
• Have the ability to confidently interact with FTSE350 clients at all levels of the organisation
• Possess strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills – with the ability to manipulate, analyse and interpret data
