Description

We’ve always been about making great things happen in entertainment. This is reflected in The Bigger Picture – opportunities to inspire new possibilities to make a better future for everyone and to do business better.

We’re one of the UK’s most visible media brands, and because we reach a third of all homes, it’s up to us not only to act responsibly but to help others make a contribution. Even small actions multiplied 8.6 million times can make a big impact.

Summary of role:

Following the recent expansion and refocus of The Bigger Picture, you will have a unique opportunity to lead on one of the key areas of the new strategy – inviting Sky people to join in and become an active part of the Bigger Picture. As an experienced project manager, you will oversee Sky’s flagship employee engagement programme ‘Joining In’; involving a wide variety of projects and diverse range of stakeholders. This role will be based in Osterley, but will be expected to travel frequently to our offices in Scotland to ensure all our employees are part of our ‘Joining In’ programme.

Success in this position will stem from your proven experience in managing projects from conception to launch and beyond. You will be experienced at forging strong relationships with a range of partners from across the public, private and voluntary sectors and will have an eye for identifying innovative ways of maximising the synergy between the sectors to create mutually beneficial partnerships. In addition, you will be experienced at overseeing multi-stakeholder projects and will have an understanding of formal measurement and evaluation models.

You should be a creative thinker who is excited about the unique skills, talents and experience Sky people have to offer the community and has the passion to not only drive employee engagement initiatives but to ensure it is sustainable.

Key Responsibilities:

To support the Head of Community Investment to lead the strategic development of Sky’s employee engagement programme, ‘Joining In’, working closely with HR and key members of the Responsibility and Reputation department. This will include:

1. Payroll Giving & Fundraising - manage the payroll giving, matched funding and fundraising programme
2. Volunteering - manage the development and provision of accessible volunteering opportunities with key partners
3. Communications - work closely with the internal communications team on a targeted internal communication campaign, aimed at inspiring, informing and educating people about our approach and how they get involved.

What we are looking for:

1. Demonstrable ability to deliver a broad range of projects with a ‘can do’ attitude showing strong attention to detail
2. Ability to develop and sustain key relationships, persuade, and gain support for the ‘Joining In’ initiative at all levels across the business
3. Effective communication skills with both private and voluntary sector
4. Ability to demonstrate initiative and a flexible approach to all aspects of the work
5. Ability to demonstrate a strong interest in and commitment to the community, as well as an up-to-date knowledge of key debates/trends relating to CCI and CSR
6. Good budget management experience
7. Excellent understanding of volunteering and related issues
