London or Bath | Circa £45,000 + BenefitsThis dedicated not for profit organisation is looking for an exceptional Manager to direct and coordinate the world's first industry based, voluntary, environmental compliance scheme. Within this role you will work with the world's largest soft drink companies to develop and grow the Carbon Action Plan Partnership (CAPP).
After consultation within the beverage industry, NSF International and Zenith International developed the Carbon Action Plan (CAP) and formed the CAP Partnership in 2007. This groundbreaking organisation implements the CAP programme to help beverage companies improve their environmental sustainability.
As the Manager of the CAPP you will be the key point of contact for all the delegates and stakeholders, reporting into the Chairman and Board of Directors. This high profile commitment by the beverage industry will be in the public eye and it is your role to promote the scheme industry wide, recruit companies into the partnership and manage the members.
Strategically minded, the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of aspects of the partnership including:
- Developing and retaining a viable international membership base
- Working with stakeholders to optimise the product offer and service
- Developing and implementing marketing plans to deliver recruitment targets within agreed budgets and timeframes
- Collaborating with the membership to support environmental 'best practice' and build a cohesive ethos focussed on reducing environmental impacts
- Ensuring effective administrative and budget management
- Aligning all communications and presentations with CAPP mission statement
- Standing as the main spokesman for the partnership
This entrepreneurial position requires a dynamic self starter. Able to communicate at all levels, influence and direct, you should have excellent professional experience across a spectrum of activities. As the successful candidate you should also have:
- Demonstrable experience of inter-disciplinary working environments, including team and project management experience
- The ability to understand and communicate complex issues with clarity
- The ability to engage with and work effectively in a member based culture with a wide range of different commercial organisations
- An active interest and knowledge in climate change
- A bachelors degree (or equivalent)
