STRATEGIC ASSESSMENT POLICY ANALYST (RCRE 1062)
Salary range £29,191 - £34,326
(Higher Executive Officer grade, permanent contract)
Based at our Whitehall office

The Sustainable Development Commission (SDC) is the Government's independent official advisor on sustainable development, reporting directly to the Prime Minister, the First Ministers for Wales and Scotland, and the First and Deputy First Ministers for Northern Ireland. Through advocacy, advice, appraisal and capability building we help put sustainable development at the core of Government policy. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Watchdog team.

You will play a key role in holding Government Departments and other key stakeholders to account where sustainable development is concerned. This role offers the opportunity to work within a team to make a real difference to how we take sustainable development forward in Britain. You will be offered opportunities to strengthen and acquire skills and lead on agreed areas of work relating to sustainable development.

We are looking for an intelligent, hard-working individual with an interest and preferably experience in sustainable development. You will be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, and you have a good understanding of Government and how it operates.
