Sedex Vacancy
Internship (3 Months Full time, £60 per day)
We are looking for an individual who has an active interest in ethical trading and is keen to gain work experience in the area. The successful applicant will be working on ethical trading projects with major global companies and will gain a real insight in to the complexities of international supply chains and the challenges of ethical trade.
Key skills required include excellent communication skills, confidence in the manipulation of data using excel, excellent organisational skills and a friendly and positive outlook. A considerable amount of time will be spent helping suppliers from around the world to use Sedex – the ability to explain processes clearly on the phone or by email will be required, and foreign language skills, while not required, would be a plus.
We are a small and dedicated team, so the successful applicant will need to feel comfortable helping with every aspect of the organisation. Hard working, patience, a sense of humour, motivated, reliable, a team-player … these are some of the key attributes that we are looking for.
This is a temporary 3 month position to start immediately. The position will be paid - £60 per day. We'd prefer someone with full-time availability, but we are open to part-time options as well.
If you feel that this could be the position for you, please send through your c.v., together with a covering letter outlining why you feel that you would be suitable for this position by
12 noon 14th August to
Rigmor@sedex.org.uk
Interviews will take place on
