Principal-level environmental engineer to join team of contaminated land specialists

The job…
• Working as part of a team of principal technical contaminated land specialists, alongside the geo-environmental and environmental management team
• Providing key support on technical matters for project delivery, as well as project and people management
• Designing, managing and executing desk studies and site investigations for brownfield site developments, as well as preparing and reviewing subsequent reports - making sure these stay client-focused and pragmatic whilst satisfying regulations and keeping within engineering and budget restrictions
• Developing business and managing clients
You…
• Have extensive experience in environmental consultancy or equivalent experience in the public or private sector
• Ideally have been educated to MSc. level in a geo-environmental discipline
• Are qualified to BSc. level in a relevant environmental science /engineering /geological discipline
• Are up-to-date with current UK standards of methodologies and practice for the analysis of soil and water; qualitative and quantitative risk assessments in the context of current UK legislation; remediation of contaminated land
• Have a good knowledge of emerging remediation technologies
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and are a great communicator with an ability to present technical information clearly to other professionals and clients
• Have a proven ability to follow through on projects, with some project-management experience- including budget and resource management
• Possess an astute commercial and practical understanding of business
• Have some business-development experience
• May have experience in site supervision of remediation works
