One of the world's largest professional consultancies is looking to recruit a highly experienced Resource Use and Waste Management Consultant to join their London office.
Joining a highly stimulating work environment with a breadth of experience rarely matched in other organisations, you will be given the opportunity to develop our client's services of municipal waste while building further relationships with waste companies and technological suppliers.

In this role you will be expected to assist clients to develop and execute waste strategy and solutions, as well as to assist in the development of the commercial aspects of Waste Strategy 2007. You will provide a wider input into S& CC strategy offerings in respect of waste and environmental services, in addition to providing advice and insight to PE clients on non-municipal aspects of the waste industry.
As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • A degree, Masters or equivalent in Environment, Economics, Sustainability, Responsible Business Development, Business, International Affairs or related fields
  • Proven experience in the waste industry at Senior Manager or Director level with extensive knowledge of the waste industry in UK and/or Europe
  • Good understanding of waste market drivers and policies
  • Experience of the commercial/financial aspects of waste & environmental services
  • M&A experience including target identification/due diligence
  • Experience of procuring services (as buyer or seller) in the C&I markets
  • Experience of business analysis in an environmental context (preferred)
  • Fluency in English, and proficiency in other languages is desirable
  • Strong leadership, communication and project management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a good awareness of the concepts of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development
