Environmental Assistant CSR/EMS -London
Salary £26K+
To assist the Environmental Manager in ensuring our client remains a major UK residential developer that differentiates itself in the marketplace through sustainable development, urban regeneration and community building. Currently the features on the WWF – Insight Investment house builder league table which is part of the ‘1 Million Sustainable Homes Campaign’. They are also within the Sunday Times ‘Top 100 Companies that Count’ table managed by Business in the Community to benchmark cross sector corporate responsibility. They have also been a member of the FTSE4 Good Index series since 2003.
An excellent opportunity for a graduate with some work experience to gain skills and build a career in CSR and EMS.
1. Supporting CSR data collection and analysis for annual reporting.
2. Updating information for external CSR benchmarking indexes.
3. Helping to maintain the sustainable development policy and environmental management system across the group.
People
He/she will have the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing at all levels.
Financial
1. A degree in environmental management/technology.
2. Good understanding of key performance indicator definitions, calculations etc.
3. Excellent IT skills: Microsoft Word; Excel; Citrix; Power Point etc.
4. Some knowledge of the construction, house building or property sectors would be an advantage but not essential.
It would be advantageous for the successful candidate to have a keen interest in the social and environmental aspects of property development activities and a working knowledge of business communication systems. Experience in business administration would also be advantageous. The position may involve some travel to regional offices and develoment sites.
