One of the world's leading banks, committed to tackling pressing environmental, social and economic issues, is now investing greatly in developing their Sustainability Team. The team is structured towards understanding the risks and opportunities associated with, amongst other issues, a lower carbon economy. They are looking for an exceptional strategic analyst to assess, report and communicate the financial implications of a wide range of sustainability and CR issues critical to reputation and development.
As the Sustainability Reporting Manager you will be working with this leading department, responsible for managing policies and strategy in this space, and report externally and internally on the bank's direct and indirect sustainability performance. This will be executed through developing, implementing and embedding a global reporting system across all areas and functions.
This is one of the most credible and committed teams in the sector and will place you at the forefront of Sustainability Reporting.
In addition to strong analytical skills, it is equally important that you are able to identify economic opportunities and have the confidence to communicate your findings and figures to various stakeholders including senior management.
Previous management experience is crucial; you will manage a small offshore team and have the ability to implement audit principles and demonstrate best practice reporting standards throughout the whole reporting cycle. The confidence to plan, organise, benchmark and negotiate effectively is essential as is the ability to identify risks linked to data quality, reporting gaps, disclosure and transparency issues.
You must have:
- Experience in and a strong understanding of environmental best practice
- A degree, Masters or equivalent in subjects requiring data analysis
- A degree, Masters or equivalent in Environment, Economics and/or Sustainability related subjects
- A strong understanding of data applications and IT systems knowledge e.g. Credit360
- Ideally, experience of NGO sector and / or asset management / investments
- Permission to work within the UK
