Our client delivers sustainable solutions for new and existing residential and commercial developments. So if you like to providing intelligent, innovative, integrated solutions to radically transform the way new and existing buildings and communities are planned, designed, constructed, refurbished and managed then this is for you!
You will assist in the development and deployment of new low- and zero- carbon housing design tools, strategies and services for clients in the public and private sectors.
You are likely to be degree qualified, aware of UK sustainable housing policy issues, be commercially astute, and must be passionate about improving the sustainability of the built environment.
You will also need to have a good understanding of energy efficiency & energy consumption models ( SAP,NHER,BREDEM & AD1 etc) & energy components of the Code for Sustainable Homes. Practical experience in the house building industry, the social housing sector or a housing design/research consultancy will be an advantage.
Expertise in one or more of the following fields is essential:
Low-/zero-carbon housing solutions for newbuild or refurbishment , bioclimatic design, air tightness and ventilation strategies , thermal bridging calculations, advanced glazing and ‘extreme’ insulation, building physics (incl daylighting, shading, thermal mass), the PassivHaus standard and finally residential building performance modelling and analysis!
