Project Manager Responsible Sourcing - Copenhagen - Denmark
Project Manager Responsible Sourcing - 1 year assignment
The Project Manager (PM) of Novo Nordisk’s Responsible Sourcing programme is going on maternity leave, and we are looking for a person to take the newly updated strategy and programme forward. The new PM will be part of Corporate Responsibility Management which undertakes the strategic development of the Triple Bottom Line in Novo Nordisk. We each run specific projects within Corporate Responsibility and the PM will enter a highly engaged, qualified and international team. We have a great collegial backing and enjoy a humorous environment. The position is based in Novo Nordisk headquarters just outside Copenhagen, Denmark, but travel activities are expected.
Challenges
The Project Manager will develop and provide training for purchasers and auditors worldwide. Furthermore, the PM will design a new engagement programme for selected strategic suppliers and manage directly the engagement activities locally, most likely in China and/or Brazil. In general, the PM must ensure full implementation of the new strategy and updated programme. This will also include updating internal and external websites. The PM combines input from the different sourcing areas in Novo Nordisk and must ensure that the programme is always run and developed at a high standard and in keeping with the values of Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications
The Project Manager must have min. 3 years project management experience of responsible sourcing, preferably from a private company. This will include experience in handling ILO standards, environmental management, and direct interaction with suppliers on environmental/labour rights issues. We expect applicants to be well orientated within Corporate Responsibility and have a good understanding of where the agenda is going. The PM must work in a structured way and be able to demonstrate cross-cultural understanding. It is important to have good communication and presentation skills, and not least be a fast learner. Applicants must have an academic degree and must speak and write English fluently.
