Manager - Responsible Sourcing
London, UK
£37,500-£47,500
Position: Full-Time
Opening: Immediate


Description

This role will suit someone who has a real passion for responsible and ethical sourcing as well as environmental issues, which they will ideally have gained through working previously within either retail, sourcing or the supplier environment.

They will understand how these elements combine to deliver change within a business and its extended supply chain and be committed to delivering this improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of being able to work independently and as part of a team when required. They will be able to interact with a wide variety of personalities and be an expert at influencing people at all levels, both internally and externally, to deliver the desired outcome.

They will have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in addition to well-developed presentation skills, all of which they can use to engage all stakeholders (both internal and external) in delivering the John Lewis Responsible Sourcing strategy.

They will also act as the primary contact for NGOs and based on these interactions and desk-top research, be able to provide expert advice to the business, which delivers the Responsible Sourcing strategy as well as being commercially sound.

The ideal candidate will embrace change readily and will relish the opportunities to deliver change management within the Merchandise Standards Team and the wider Buying community.
