They are looking for an excellent Senior Sustainability Consultant to join them in the North of England. The individual will be brought into the new specialist sustainability team and will work directly under the Head of Sustainability. Opportunities exist for rapid expansion of this team and as such potential exists for this to become a managerial role.

The job…
Candidates should demonstrate an outstanding ability to perform the following tasks;
- Coordinate the work of project teams in creating sustainability statements to support planning applications.
- Providing expert advice to clients and team members on the principles and priorities of sustainable development in relation to the planning & development process and sustainability trends and risks.
- Building and strengthening the sustainability team, by proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate sustainability initiatives into building proposals.
- Preparing sustainability inputs to Environmental Impact Assessments
- Inputting into the preparation of Design Briefs for development sites to ensure that sustainability underpins new ventures.

You…
- Have a broad and deep expertise in sustainability issues.
- Have 1+ years experience, post professional qualification, (likely to be a Chartered Surveyor or Planner) with private sector experience.
- Are an excellent project manager; combining autonomy with team working abilities.
- Are an excellent analyst and communicator
- Can develop strong and fruitful relationships with clients and colleagues and are a confident negotiator and influencer.
- Are confident with the delivery of presentations and engaging large audiences
- Are enthusiastic about creating change through the planning & development process.
