Default HOT JOB Sustainability Advisor - Supply Chains

London | £30k - £40k Dependant on experienceOur client is a global petrochemical company with a reputation of being on the cutting edge. They are now looking for a Sustainability Advisor to join their Biofuels team in London to focus on the sourcing of a sustainable and traceable product.
Being part of their new Biofuels business will give the successful individual the opportunity to be part of a fast moving and highly strategic activity that will be leading the way in developing an entirely new and very high profile industry.
People with strong track records of successful delivery, expertise in their fields, and a strong sense of intellectual curiosity are most likely to find this position in the new business challenging and rewarding.
Key job responsibilities:
  • To ensure that biofuels are procured from traceable, sustainable sources - thus maintaining and protecting our client's reputation
  • Setting up the needed processes and frameworks to ensure traceability
  • Monitor & enforce the real-life application of our client's guidelines & principles
  • Seek out potential suppliers, assist with new supply deals and build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Managing consultants, as necessary, to ensure the successful implementation of agreed sourcing guidelines
Our client is looking for candidates with experience of managing a major multinational company's ethical supply chain certification schemes and strong understanding of the issues therein, including monitoring procedures and chain of custody implementation.
With an excellent knowledge of sustainability, particularly in a corporate context you will have a strong understanding of labour issues as well as demonstrated external stakeholder engagement experience.
In return our client can offer an excellent salary along with a benefits package that would be expected from a multinational corporation.
