The African Families Foundation (TAFF) is looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join its team for a three month internship. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with enthusiasm for working at the coalface of a social enterprise. The role will involve assisting a small team in administering and scaling up the African Dance Aerobics programme. The intern will have strong research and organisational skills, with a proven ability to develop relationships with people and build community links. Good IT and internet skills are necessary to be successful in this role. This is an unpaid position.
TAFF is a pan-African network of 75 community organisations based in the UK and 35 in Africa. African Dance Aerobics is basically a fusion of the fundamentals of aerobics and African dance and music.
African Dance Aerobics is great fun and accomplishes two things at the same time: one learns a cultural skill (African dance, and there are many to choose from!) in addition to the physical and mentalhealth benefits of a keep-fit regimen.
