Central London | £45k-£50kWe currently have an excellent opportunity to join a government-funded organisation within the climate change sector as a Public Relations Manager. The company aims to reduce carbon emissions within UK businesses through strategic alliances and advisory services, and help alleviate the threat of climate change.
Reporting directly to the Head of PR and Corporate Communications, the post holder will work alongside the PR, communications and events departments, effectively interfacing and managing programmes with businesses and their agencies.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the organisations PR programme and support the key business areas
- Develop the PR strategies and plans to support the objectives
- Direct and manage a retained PR agency to ensure effective delivery of the programme on a day to day basis
- Effectively meet key performance indicators for PR
Experience and skills:
- Relevant sector experience within the energy, environmental, technology sector and current understanding of the energy and climate change debate
- Strong experience as senior PR professional at Account director (agency) or Senior Manager (in-house) level with around 3-5 years relevant experience
- Experience of leading a major account or the PR for a national organisation
- A background in marketing
- Experience of managing significant budgets
- Dynamic, energetic and strong leader of people and projects and able to operate at the highest levels within an organisation
- Able to hit the ground running
