Opportunity to work on a dynamic, global youth project!
September 2007 – December 2008
The Harambee Centre, Cambridge
Youth Worker Vacancy:
‘Global Youth Action’, Big Lottery funded project


Minimum 8 hours, Maximum 16 hours a week (to negotiate)

The Harambee Centre works with young people and youth workers across Cambridgeshire with the aim of targeting ‘hard to reach’ groups. The Global Youth Action project inspires young people to be passionate about global issues, convinces them that change is possible and empowers them to take action in their community.

The role includes:
  • Facilitating young people on youth-led projects
  • Training youth workers on supporting young people taking action on global issues
  • Developing global youth work resources
Essential Criteria
  • Extensive experience of working with young people on a youth led project
  • Experience and skill in engaging hard-to-reach young people
  • Experience in training youth workers and young people
  • Interest in global issues
