Salary: Up to £40 000 + Bonus + Car
One of the longest established waste companies in the UK has recently undergone a major operational review, resulting in enhanced efficiency and improved business processes. They are now seeking a Commercial Manager to maximise the advantages which have been created and to produce and implement a new commercial plan.
My client currently has a strong client base in the construction sector and is looking to both develop this further and diversify into new growth markets. Reporting directly to the General Manager this is a senior leadership role within the organisation and responsibilities will include:
• Creating and continually updating a sales plan to include market and sector analysis, targets, and competitor analysis
• Implementing, developing and maintaining a “selling price” matrix for all income streams
• Providing a regular commercial report and providing detailed statistical performance reports
• Leading the sales team and conducting regular sales meetings to bring in new business and develop existing relationships
Essential requirements:
• Ability to manage a sales team, create KPIs and put in place processes to ensure targets are reached
• An extensive sales background within the commercial and industrial business to business sector
• Proven sales track record with both incoming leads and new business development
A background in the waste / recycling sector is desirable.
This role will require a self starter who is passionate about sales and developing business. You will be expected to network at all levels within client organisations, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions. Strong leadership and communication skills are a must.
