Hello dear Sustainable friends,

Its really a pleasure being a member of a community like this. My hearty congratulations to the creative minds behind this forum and also to all of you who enlighten it with your ideas and suggestions...

I'm a mechanical design engineer associated with an ESCO in dubai. We are into Sustainable/Green building design and LEED Certifications of buildings.

Looking forward to hear from all of you and share our ideas here.

since dubai is a small place with large number of projects and still huge dreams...our paths will surely meet somewhere...

Whats ur opinion about the current trend of sustainability and formation of EmiratesGBC.....??

I am really pleased about the Green Buildings Council although I have heard that it is still very early days. The thing that is important is to try to draw all the stakeholders together and get a combined and concerted effort to work together. We still have issues of little silos of people duplicating in part what others are trying to achieve. Dubai is too small for that - we need to collaborate and cooperate.

Sustainability in the UAE - probably a dream, we need to have radical changes - to we have the activists and the commitment to drive change in all the areas that need addressing?
