Default Hi

Dear Sustainability Enthusiasts:

Just found out about this forum through a recent announcement at GoogleGroups.

I'm Hans De Keulenaer, and currently managing the Leonardo ENERGY initiative, 'the global community for sustainable energy professionals'.

There seems to be no topic-specific forum here on energy, while sustainable energy is a big part of the sustainability equation. How about adding this topics?

Regards,
Hans

We been discussing it even though there is no specific topic. Like solar , wind, biofuels of different types. Haven't had much discussion on nuclear and hydro

Hydro going to be a problem with the the weather chaos we been seeing.

Not enough vs too much rain.

Smart planning regarding biofuels in general is that if it is cash crop based or biomass that requires cutting of vegetation should not be pursued in that all of the infrastructure would be temporary and thus wasted. It is better to conserve and cut consumption to buy time rather than continue to over consume as is.

Your welcome to start a specific topic :peace:

@administrator:
Leonardo ENERGY's tagline is 'the global community for sustainable energy professionals'. The website is Leonardo ENERGY | The Global Community for Sustainable Energy Professionals.

LE's scope on sustainable energy is quite broad, including issues such as safety, reliability and comfort in addition to environmental performance.

Our main activity is advocacy and professional development.

@Corey:
You're right. Though it's a challenge for any community manager to avoid near-empty topic forums, while avoiding the main forum acquiring monstruous proportions.

Meanwhile, I notice that our administrator has made an executive decision on the matter, and now feel a moral obligation to help animate the topic.

Last comment how so? Kind of difficult to know what others are thinking, in that this is a widely diverse group, who do not think all the same. So sometimes we are not all that good at following things that may seem obvious for we do not do that great reading others people train of thought like what happens in groups where they all think alike.
