Thumbs up hello!

[color="DarkOrchid"]calling all people in the know about sustainable consumption...

i'm at the very beginning of my PhD research into sustainable consumption at King's College London. i'm especially interested in how the variety of organisations in the UK are involved in advocating it, which networks they belong to, and how the meaning of sustainable consumption varies depending on who you talk to, and why that might be.

so it'd be great if any of you fellow forum people had any info on which NGOs and other similar organisations are working in sustainable consumption and its related fields; info about any (other) existing formal sustainability type networks; and anything about any emerging varieties of sustainable consumption style activity. i intend to include anything from sustainable energy to sustainable tourism to local economic systems to eco-villages and other communities to general efforts to consume less and things like voluntary simplicity. i'm sure some of you must be involved in some of this activity, either on a personal level or at your organisation, and if so, i'd love to hear from you!

Edie, I have just read your introduction and would be very happy to help you in your work in any way I can. I can tell you about Flipside Vision, what I am trying to do with it and why. Although the website makes it pretty clear anyway.
