Default Ethical consumption

Dear all,

My name is Linden Reekie and I am a postgraduate student studying an MSc in International Management at King's College London. I am currently undertaking Dissertation research into ethical consumption in relation to ethical marketing strategies of major food brands in the UK and US.

Consumers play a pivotal role in the extent to which brand marketing strategies are successful. Therefore, I am interested in gaining insight from U.K. and U.S. consumers (only) about their perceptions and awareness about ethical issues in business in general; the food industry in particular and, later, about specific high-profile brands; ethical marketing strategies. Those participating can contact me for an information sheet further detailing this research.

I would like to begin the discussion by asking:

What does the term Corporate Social Responsibility mean to you?

Welcome to the forum Linden.

Why dont you start a discussion on the questions you would like to ask in the sustainability discussion forum http://www.sustainabilityforum.com/f...ty-discussion/
or the Corporate Responsibility forum
http://www.sustainabilityforum.com/f...esponsibility/

See you around.

If you are simply looking for responses from "UK" and "US" based users, you are in the wrong forum.

If you wish to restrict the discussion to specified users, then do not use the public message boards, contact specific members using the PM system!

Question Setting of restrictions to replies???

My point is – are new members (or any others) actually authorised to start discussions in the public forums, and then set restrictions as to who can reply? I don't think that such a precedent should be permitted to become established, it would not benefit the forum discussions in any way.

What I am trying to say, is that he is free to start discussions on any topic in this forum, however, I do not see the point of him attempting to set restrictions on who can reply, based on nationality, geographical location or any other criteria (as he has already tried to do in another forum, using this identical thread). In the other place, he went so far as to request that other nationalities refrain from replying further to any of his posts (since the majority of replies were from other countries), and that is not a healthy trend to start in any discussion forum.

Why should an exception be made in this case? Sorry, ethics01, you will need to find some other means of conducting your "research"...

Thanks for that natureguy. Just came back from a daybreak in beautiful countryside to see this spamming again. User has been banned.
