Default ASP presents: Royal Mail's Carbon Management Programme

The Association of Sustainability Practitioners (ASP), in collaboration with Royal Mail, presents its next Learning Event on July 15th at the Royal Mail in London.

Royal Mail is the largest single employer in the UK and it has one of the largest fleets of trucks and vans in Europe, with 35,000 vehicles transporting 85 million pieces of mail to 27 million addresses. Royal Mail's Carbon Management Programme is a holistic approach comprising nine interrelated projects, focusing on eliminating, reducing and replacement. All Royal Mail sites now run on green electricity and almost half of its vehicle fleet runs on biofuel; the objective is for Royal Mail to become carbon neutral by 2015.

This is an opportunity to:

• find out how Royal Mail is implementing sustainable practices in its daily operations
• engage in debate with members of their management and CSR team
• contribute to the understanding and promotion of sustainable practices

The programme comprises:

July 15th 14:00 - 17:30
  • Royal Mail's Sustainability Strategy - Dr. Martin Blake, Head of Sustainability Royal Mail
  • Royal Mail's Carbon Reduction Commitment - Simon Francis, Sustainability Development Advisor Royal Mail
  • Panel discussion facilitated by - Mike King, CEO, Environment Council
  • Breakouts
  • Networking Buffet
