Default Sustainability and local government seminar

Thought you might be interested in a seminar at the LGIU on the 13 December...

Event: New Local Area Agreements and SustainabilityNegotiating the new Local Area Agreements (LAA) is an ideal opportunity for local areas to mainstream sustainable development. Whether it is climate change, recycling or transport plans, local public services have massive potential to influence local sustainability. Some Local Area Agreements are already achieving changes to services that will meet the vision of sustainable communities. But with competing pressures and priorities from a range of partners it can be challenging to develop a common understanding of sustainable development for your area.
This seminar is aimed at both sustainability and LAA specialists to ensure we make the most of the review process. With the move to Sustainable Community Strategies and the addition of climate change targets in the new performance framework, now is the time to think about how outcomes and reward targets in the LAA can support work on local sustainability.

Date: 13 December

Location: LGIU office, 22 Upper Woburn Place, London, WC1H 0TB
