Special Issue on Climate Change is just out !!

Greetings !

We take this opportunity to inform you that the latest issue of our bi-monthly newsletter PANIRA DAGARA (in Oriya) is a special issue on Climate Change. This 48 page special issue discusses climate change issues and problems in detail. Whie the cover story is an exclusive piece on climate change experiences from the state, another special story has been published on the Clean Development Mechanism - the first ever exclusive analysis of this mechanism and its relevance vis-a-vis problems in the context of Orissa. We review Al Gore's film and have special stories on climate change hot spots. The grassroots sections of the newsletter deal with successful adaptation measures and the campaign section gives tips to combat climate change.

We have started sending copies to people in our maliling list and want to reach out to more people and institutions. So, if you are not on the list already, please send in your name and address and other contact details so that we can send a copy to you. We are asking a token contribution of Rs.20/- for this special issue.

For those who want to subscribe to the newsletter(which we would earnestly request you to do), we are seeking a marginal contribution of Rs.60/- for one year and Rs.100/- for two years. You can send in your DD/Cheque(at par) in favour of "MASS" payable at Sambalpur and send the same to the following address. For friends in the group who dont read Oriya, we request to kindly forward the message to thier contacts in Oirssa. This will be a favour.
