Back to the polar ice cap gone by 2030. That is actually conservative. Satellite imagery showed an average of north polar ice at 2.6 million square miles for summers from the start in 1979 through 2000. By 2005 it had gone down to 2.2 and for this year 1.7. If you follow that curve of change, the summer ice will be gone much sooner.
Now, there are countries like the US, Russia, Norway, Denmark (has Greenland), and Canada, positioning themselves to drill for oil in the ice free areas---to make more global warming!!! Talk about backwards thinking from supposedly intelligent countries, where profit means more than logic!!!!!
