Any jobs in sustainable procurement/supply chains or ethical trading?
Dear all,
I am new to the community and am writing to enquire if anybody has any contacts or information regarding job opportunities in "Sustainable Procurement", or in the alternative trade sector, on the london area.
I graduated two years and a half ago from my business school after one year of “international business administration”, writing my master dissertation on environmental management in the caribbean hotel industry. Since then I have been fostering sustainability purchasing at the One Aldwych Hotel, London, as Assistant Purchasing Manager. I launched a project "Towards Eco-purchasing" with the aim to provide a comprehensive “Pre Purchase Information Database” to the different stakeholders so that they have access to all the relevant information related to the purchasing of goods and services, with a systematic focus on the triple bottom line.
Now I want to move forward and continue to develop tools which will guide businesses towards Sustainability, on a full-time basis. Would you have any advice or contacts (i.e. companies that want to develop sustainable supply chains, consulting firms...) that could help me?
