Absolutely. What some organizations may not know is that knowledge management is infact a sustainable solution. Essentially when designing a sustainabile solution you want to target what I believe are four key areas which include: Economic, Environmental, Social and Value adding impact. Knowledge management is a subcomponent of sustainability impacting all four. By retaining a good knowledge management system, companies can reduce time it takes for information finding and sharing. This also helps to eliminate paper trails, reduces labour time, reduce costs and add value to an organization. I will be writing an article on sustainability soon which I will link in this forum once completed.
