Default Monchegorsk...

...is a town in arctic Russia with a nickel smelter. The resulting acid rain has decimated the tundra for miles around. The devastation is indescribable.

While I'd always greenish, it was witnessing this destruction 11 years ago that made me want to do something practical and positive (rather than finger pointing and protest). I came home, started volunteering with BTCV, then got a job at Newcastle Uni on Eco-Design, then was appointed Centre Manager at the Clean Environment Management Centre (CLEMANCE) and two years ago, set up my own business.

What I love about this is I learn something new EVERY day - and sometimes a lot of stuff!
